Dodging two winter storms, we made the dive up to Sonora on Saturday to spend some time with our good friends, Katie, Jason and their girls. It's been a long time since all eight of us have had an opportunity to get together. Way long overdue! It was a bit chilly Saturday afternoon when we arrived (I think more it was the shock of the cold cabin and trying to get it warmed up), but a few hours after the fire had started, the kids were running around in their bare feet having a blast together.
It was great to catch up with Katie and Jason once the kids all went to bed up in the loft. One of my favorite things to do is sit around the fire and just catch up with good friends.
Sunday morning we all bundled up and had a good time sledding, then rushed to get the vans packed before the road conditions required chains. Note the matching snow covered vans. :-)
